Cait Hardie works in water based media on paper, with an approach that could be described as  an intersection of drawing and painting. The tactile quality of putting hand to paper is as important as allowing the materials to steer the direction of the work. Her imagery is influenced heavily by the natural world, as well as the urban environment. Her work was exhibited at Morpho Gallery in Chicago in 2018 and 2019.

Cait moved to Chicago from Australia in 1998. Having completed her BA at UTS in Sydney, she studied fine art at Harold Washington College, Columbia College, and SAIC in Chicago for a number of years, before focusing on developing her work. Having spent the first 10 years of her life in Upstate New York and the Midwest, she always hoped to return to the US, and now enjoys living in a place which has seasons, and gets properly cold in winter.

Cait joined ARC gallery as a member in early 2019.
