BEDS AND BEYOND: INTIMATE SPACES   paintings

In her new works, "Beds and Beyond: Intimate Spaces," Nancy Fritz reveals her fascination with the sense of spatial intimacy and mystery that one can find in the nooks and corners of everyday surroundings. As a narrative painter, Nancy is interested in creating ambiguous, enigmatic images.  In her recent paintings, all featuring beds, she explores intimate spaces, while playing with odd perspectives and thin layering of pigments and glazes.  Nancy embraces both the formal and the narrative challenges of seeing the ordinary in un-ordinary ways.
