John Pitman Weber

"Fences," installation

John Pitman Weber is a Chicago-based public artist. He is a member of Piece Process, the Palestinian, Israeli and Jewish-American artists group which first showed at ARC in 2002. "Fences" is a meditation on Weber's recent visit to Israel/Palestine. Its structure provides a small experience of the maze of checkpoints, fences, and walls that govern daily life in the West Bank. Weber teaches at Elmhurst College.
