As-if-ism 2, installation

"As-if-ism" refers to our use of a personal fiction as a filter we employ in order to cope with the reality around us. This is a fictional school of psychology which employs the reading of sacred texts as the primary form of intervention. Sacred texts may be read on different levels simultaneously. The text has a surface layer of the commonly accepted story. At the same time there exist personal, poetic, and mystical layers of interpretation. Attentiveness to these layers in the text and in our surrounding reality enhances our potential to become the authors of our life stories.
