AFFILIATE: Nancy CHARAK
The current work of Nancy Charak can be seen at The Nines Gallery of Holland, Michigan and Eaton Fine Arts of Austin, Texas. She is an affiliate member of ARC Gallery & Educational Foundation, of Chicago, Illinois, one of the oldest women's art cooperatives in the country. Her art has been exhibited in Edinburgh, Scotland, New York City and will soon travel with the Poetic Dialogue project to the University of Wisconsin at Waukesha. Additionally, she will jury a show "Drawing on Experience" for Woman Made Gallery of Chicago that will exhibit June 2008, and mount a solo exhibit in that space at the same time. Nancy Charak is a native Chicagoan who studied photography and design at the University of Illinois at Chicago and painting and drawing at Northern Illinois University for an M.F.A. Her work has been shown in several significant juried exhibitions, including the Chicago and Vicinity Show at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Davidson National Print and Drawing Competition, a purchase prize from the Chattahoochee Valley Art Association, in galleries Van Straaten and Bernal in Chicago and Genesis in New York. Nancy works in a studio in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Her work is in several corporate and private collections throughout the Midwest, including Cleveland, the Chicago area and the Sherwood Forest Bed & Breakfast of Saugatuck, Michigan.
